BCCI moves Supreme Court on Srinivasan conflict

BCCI quoted Srinivasan’s submission in the previous meeting that he can attend the Board meetings
New Delhi: The BCCI on Saturday moved the Supreme Court seeking clarification on whether its former president and ICC chairman N. Srinivasan can participate in the Board meetings following the Justice Lodha panel submitting its report on ‘conflict of interest’ issue.
In its application the BCCI quoted Mr. Srinivasan’s submission in the previous meeting that he can attend the Board meetings as he has divested all the stakes of India Cements, the owners of Chennai Super Kings and he has no shares or conflict of interest or commercial interest in the CSK.
Last month, the board was forced to call off its crucial working committee meeting which was to discuss the fate of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals in Indian Premier League.
The Board said this issue can be resolved either by the apex court or it can be referred to the Justice Lodha committee once again to decide the matter.
