Tearful reunion for AP girl with hubby at CoP office
According to Geethika, she and Shyam reached Tirupati on September 5 and got married in the temple
Chennai: A 19-year-old bio-technology girl student from Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh managed to escape a scheming couple, she and her husband had met in Tirupati, AP, and reached city police commissioner’s office on Saturday morning seeking help to track her missing hubby.
The college girl, Geethika, who had married Shyam Durga, who was employed as a house keeping services in Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, without parents’ permission on September 5, had lost her husband on Saturday morning when the couple she met took him away offering a job.
Geethika told police that they had met a couple in Tirupati, who promised the couple a job in Chennai and brought them here. After reaching Chennai Central railway station, they took Geethika and husband to Egmore railway station and later took her husband out ‘to look for job’. They soon came back and told Geethika that Shyam was taken away. She felt something fishy and reached CoP office seeking help.
As Shyam was not having a mobile phone and Geethika had no balance, both were finding it difficult to keep in touch. After talking from public booths, he also somehow managed to reach CoP office within four hours for a tearful re-union.
According to Geethika, she and Shyam reached Tirupati on September 5 and got married in the temple. They stayed in a hotel where they met Deenadayalan and a woman. Deenadayalan promised to get a job for her.
The two came to Chennai believing his words and but after reaching Egmore they took her husband away and that is when she became suspicious and sought police help.
