Many private buses stopped their services fearing checks

Bengaluru: The Transport Department conducted a drive near Electronic City, Silk Board, Infosys campus and Parappana Agrahara to check permit and other violations.
Private vehicles were checked. In all, 3,000 vehicles were checked and more than 210 vehicles were seized for various violations.
Private buses, maxi cabs were booked for plying without permits and other violations, cars for non-payment of taxes, tinted glasses, defective plates and two wheelers for offences like using mobile while riding, riding without helmet, defective number plates, tampering of silencers and not carrying valid documents like emission test certificates and insurance certificates.
