First Nasscom startup warehouse gets going
Kochi: State Minister for IT and Industries P K Kunhalikutty on Saturday inaugurated Nasscom’s first incubator-cum-accelerator in Kerala, touted as the IT industry body’s fastest completed warehouse in the country, at the Infopark campus here.
The Nasscom Startup Warehouse, which is part of Nasscom’s “10,000 Startups” initiative, is the first such facility in Kerala and the third in India after Bengaluru and Kolkata.
The Startup Warehouse will also serve as Nasscom’s office in the state. An MoU in this regard was exchanged between principal secretary for IT and Industries P.H. Kurian and Nasscom product council chair Ravi Gururaj.
Infopark CEO Shri Hrishikesh Nair said that it would be an incubation facility where companies like Google, Microsoft and IBM would share their expertise in the technology field with the start-ups and help them to go global.
Already six startups have been shortlisted which will start operating from the facility immediately. They are CIED, AgrimaInfotech,Janta Solutions, GeoSpice Location Intelligence,
Quadproso and Rabitech. On the occasion, Nasscom felicitated Shri Hrishikesh Nair, CEO, Infopark and K G Girish Babu, CEO, Technopark on the completion of 10 years of Infopark and 25 years of Technopark respectively.
