Tirupati: TTD executive officer Dr D. Sambasiva Rao on Friday said announcements regarding availability of rooms were being made every hour, which had prevented blocking of rooms.
Every devotee who has one darshan at the Lord Venkateswar temple would get three laddus, one of them free. Pilgrims could book online two more laddus per head, he said. He said the TTD was preparing 3 lakh laddus which would go up to 6 lakh during the Bramhos-tavams which will be held from September 16 to 24.
As part of the board’s pilgrim-friendly measures, a three-line system had been implemented at the main temple, Dr Rao said. Break darshan had been cancelled on Thursdays. He was speaking at a 'meet the press' at the Press Club here. He said the TTD was strengthening security during the Bramho-stavams and had CCTV cameras, besides deploying more vigilance personnel.
