Telangana tries to bring native staff to state
The TS government is planning to pursue the case with AP government soon
Hyderabad: The Telangana government is trying to bring all TS-native staff allotted to AP by the Kamalnathan Committee as part of bifurcation of staff to Telangana.
It is exploring options to create supernumerary posts to accommodate such staff in TS. The TS government is planning to pursue the case with AP government soon.
Senior TRS leader D. Srinivas, who was recently appointed special adviser to TS government to deal with inter-state affairs, has been entrusted the responsibility of pursuing the case with AP.
Mr Srinivas has already held the first round of talks with various TS employees associations on the steps that need to be taken to bring TS-native staff allotted to AP to their new state.
Several employees pointed out that due to the zonal system adopted in undivided AP, they got postings in districts that are part of AP now and they want to come back to Telangana.
They suggested that if TS creates supernumerary posts in various departments, it would be possible to accommodate such staff but at the same time, it should convince AP government to create supernumerary posts there to ensure that there are no legal problems in the future.
