The last rank in private self-financing medical colleges is 1517
Thiruvananthapuram: Candidates with rank up to 662 have got allotment to MBBS seats, according to the list of state merit quota in government medical colleges published on Wednesday.
This is likely to be the last round of allotment to MBBS and BDS as the deadline for medical admissions end on September 30.
Allotments/re-allotments were made to nine government medical colleges, one government-controlled medical college and seven private self-financing medical colleges.
The last rank allotted in the lone government-controlled self-financing medical college, Academy of Medical College, Pariyaram is 757. The last rank in private self-financing medical colleges is 1517.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations has made it clear that candidates admitted in government and government-controlled self-financing engineering colleges can accept the new allotment to medical and medical allied courses only after paying the liquidated damages as per the relevant clause in the prospectus.
However, candidates admitted in private self-financing engineering colleges under Kerala Catholic Engineering College Managements Association can accept the new allotment to medical and allied courses subjected to the conditions of the GO issued by the higher education department.
The candidates admitted in other private self-financing engineering and architecture colleges who are allotted seats in medical and allied courses through KEAM 2015 need not pay the liquidated damages for getting transfer certificates and other documents. However, the fees remitted for the year will not be refunded.
