Marine specialists claim that a rare pink dolphin could be pregnant. Pinkie, the dolphin in question, was discovered mating by Captain Erik Rue from Calcasieu Charter Service, reports the Metro.
Captain Rue, who has been observing Pinkie for the last eight years, said that in the beginning she was very close to her mother. However, she has recently started swimming with another pod and has become close to a male dolphin.
According to the World Wildlife Fund, Pinkie’s species type is not known but there is a species called the Amazon River dolphin that is naturally pink in colour.
