Salman Khan fans rally behind Sooraj and Athiya's 'Hero'
While movie critiques gave the film an average rating, the fans seemed to have 'loved it'
Mumbai: Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty’s romatic-action flick ‘Hero’, that hit theatres on Friday, opened their box-office collection at whopping 6.85 crores.
It is now the second highest grossing film by debutant actors in the history of Bollywood. The film comes in a close second to Karan Johar's ‘Student Of The Year’, which marked the debut of Alia Bhatt, Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan. The film also has the third highest opening this year.
While the reviewers and movie critiques gave the film an average rating, the viewers seemed to have ‘loved’ it. Salman Khan’s million supporters have come out in full force to rally behind the young stars and show their support by sending across sweet messages of encouragement.
Salman, who has produced and launched the film, is going all out to promote it, and has tough of a brilliant way to do so. The actor asked his fans and moviegoers to post their movie tickets, for him to autograph.
While some have gone on to call Sooraj the ‘next Salman Khan’, others can’t seem to get enough of Athiya and pleaded with the actress to sign up for a few more films.
