Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput’s wedding has been one of the most talked about events in B-town this year. There was a lot of curiosity around Shahid’s 21-year-old bride at that time, as to how she would dress up for her big day. Mira ensured she looked every bit the princess and the person who put together her look is popular Bollywood make-up artist Mallika Bhat.
She recalls how Mira was very particular about looking as natural as possible. “She didn’t want any heavy foundation, she wanted her skin to look like she was not wearing any make-up. That was the only brief given to me. I enjoyed doing her look thoroughly because I personally like that look for most of my brides. She was specific about her hairdo and had sent me references. We improvised over her ideas and she loved it,” Mallika said.
Here’s how Mira got her look: Her face was moisturised and very little foundation of two to three dots were blended all over her face and set with loose powder. Eyebrows were filled and set with a brow-mascara. The eyes were enhanced using a pink gold eye shadow and then lined with a black liquid liner and kohl was put in the water line of the eyes.
The cheeks were highlighted with a pink blusher called Fleur Power by Mac and I added a nude shimmer blusher over it to give a gentle shine on the apple of the cheeks. Her lips were lined with soar pencil and filled in with a soft pink shade of lipstick.
