Mugdha Godse is excited about the Tamil film Thani Oruvan. The reason — she has a special appearance in the film as herself — a model. The film is doing really well and Mugdha is happy for it. And though she did not feature in the promos of the film, she is excited with the positive feedback she has been getting for her South debut since it released.
”To tell you the truth, all my first films have done well. Fashion, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar, helped me get a strong foothold in Bollywood. Since then there has been no looking back,” she says. Talking about her South debut with Thani Oruvan she adds, “Thani Oruvan is my first ever film down South and it has been a stupendous success. I am happy about the success of the film.”
So, does she warrant the moniker “Southern Siren”? She says, “Why not? You may give me that title. I am open to doing more South films. Especially since my first outing was such a success, though I only had a special appearance.”
She adds, “I am getting a few offers; if everything goes well, I shall be working in more South films… In fact, I feel privileged to be called a “Southern Siren”. Thani Oruvan is an action film directed by M. Raja, featuring Jayam Ravi, Aravind Swamy and Nayantara in the lead roles.
