Woman arrested for buying cocaine for daughter’s 18th birthday

Nicola Austen decided to celebrate her daughter’s birthday in high style by purchasing 12 bags of cocaine, according to prosecutors at Maidstone Crown Court in England, the Huffington Post reports.

According to the South West News Service, Austen was sentenced earlier this week to a nine-month suspended sentence and 250 hours of unpaid work. The 37-year-old mother was caught on Jan 31^st after the police paid a visit at her place. She already has six other convictions in the past; one was for possessing amphetamine in 2010.

A police dog sniffed out the cocaine at her home, after which Austen admitted that she got it for her daughter’s birthday celebration, the Telegraph reported.
