DHARMAPUR: Anil Kumble, the former cricketer, asked students not only to show interest in their studies, but also in other extracurricular activities.
On Wednesday, the former cricketer was here in Dharmapuri to attend a private school function for giving away prizes for children who have participated in the sports events.
He, to make the moment lighter, had a selfie with students taken from his mobile phone and later shared the pictures with the people who posed with him for the photo op.
Kumble in his speech said that students should not only be keen about their studies, but also show interest in other activities like sports, which helps in the development of a person.
He further said, “You should also follow your dreams. Give importance to the preparation and practice. The problem with the present generation is that they have so many chances and so they lose focus. It is very important to have focus.”
