Over 100 women gathered for the protest

COIMBATORE: The members of Mahila Congress staged a protest near Red Cross here on Wednesday condemning the increasing prices of essential commodities and vegetables.
Over 100 women, who gathered for the protest, shouted slogans against the Central government for not taking any steps to control the escalating prices. To highlight their point, the protesters came wearing garlands made of vegetables. They also demanded implementation of prohibition in Tamil Nadu.
