Hyderabad: A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death by his friend for allegedly having a sexual relationship with the killer’s wife. The murder occurred two days ago. However, the body was found on Wednesday.
The victim, K. Rajashekhar, was found dead in a lake near Sanathnagar by locals. The body was covered in a plastic bag. Police found the victim was stabbed multiple times on his stomach and chest.
Police suspect that the accused D. Subba Rao, 30, had suspected that his wife and Rajashekhar were having a sexual relationship. “Subba Rao met Rajashekhar and invited him to drink alcohol. After the victim got drunk, Rao attacked him with a knife and made sure he died. He covered the body in a plastic bag and threw it near the lake and escaped,” said V. Srikant Goud, the inspector of KPHB police station.
Both the accused and the victim are from the East Godavari district and were living in the Kukatpally area since many years doing petty jobs. The police booked a case of murder.
