In his ongoing project with director Kumar Nagendra, Nara Rohith has been paired opposite an NRI from New Zealand, Latha Hegde, whose parents are from Bengaluru.
“When I was surfing the Internet for the female lead of my film, I found this girl. It took me three months to contact her and get her for my film,” says Nagendra.
The debutante flew down to Hyderabad from New Zealand for the film. The director adds that Latha generally speaks Kannada at home with her parents and hence, can understand a bit of Telugu. “She also came well in advance and took a month-long training in language and acting,” adds the director.
Latha, who is a model, has friends in Vizag and she is in touch with them. “So language is not a big problem and she has picked up very well and is doing a good job,” says the director.
