Veteran actor Anath Nag who turned a year older this week is one of the busiest actors in Sandalwood. The actor who dabbled in politics for a brief period, soon quit to make a comeback in films.

The brother of late Shankar Nag, a versatile actor-director, he has been busy donning the hat of supporting roles in the past. Sources reveal that in his latest venture The Plan, he plays the role of a jail warden. Impressed by the script work of Manjunath Keerthi, an electrical engineer-turned-director, Ananth Nag has signed the movie which probably brings back a sense of nostalgia for the veteran actor. Nag had earlier in his film career acted under his brother Shankar Nag’s classic Minchina Ota, in which he essayed the role of an inmate who escapes from jail alongwith Shankar Nag and Loknath. Truly, an escape into the past for this actor!
