The shooting of the film will begin in December

Filmmaker Mani Ratnam, whose last outing was O Kadhal Kanmani, will be shooting his upcoming, yet-to-be-titled, Tamil revenge drama using the same technology as OK Kanmani. A source from the film unit says that having been impressed with the sound in OK Kanmani, Mani Ratnam went on to decide that his next will also be shot in sync sound.
This is a technology that lets filmmakers record sound live during the filming of the movie so it can be canned on location. We also hear that the filmmaker was keen on roping in actors and actresses who were fluent in Tamil for this, since there would be no studio dubbing.
Starring Karthi and Dulquer Salman in lead roles, it is said that the shooting of the film will begin in December. Mani Ratnam zeroed in on Keerthy Suresh because she’s very fluent in Tamil, and is now on the lookout for the second heroine.
Cinematographer Ravi Varman will handle lenses for this film, which will have music by double Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman. A source from the film unit says that having been impressed with the sound in OK Kanmani, Mani Ratnam went on to decide that his next will also be shot in sync sound
