It feels like I know Alia from another life: Shahid Kapoor
Mumbai: The trailer of Shahid Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer 'Shaandaar' has been winning hearts with its romantic streak. It has garnered over five million views on YouTube within just seven days of its launch. The two, who have been paired opposite each other, spoke about the shooting experience at the 'Gulaabo' song launch.
Talking about their unmissable chemistry, Shahid said, "We didn't have an interaction before the film. When we met, I really liked her...she is unassuming and we got along. The chemistry on-screen simply happened. It feels like I know her from another life."
Alia, on the other hand, was nervous about matching steps with Shahid and she would spend hours secretly rehearsing her dance moves and dialogues. She said, "There were moments where I ended up crying because I couldn't get the steps right. Bosco used to call me penguin feet but Shahid made it a lot more easier for me. He helped me a lot."
The movie also marks the debut of Shahid's half sister Sanah, however the actor said that he was clueless about his sister being roped in for the film. He said, "Vikas casted my sister without me knowing about it. She met and auditioned for the role through Mukesh Chhabra. And one fine day, Vikas tells me it's Sanah who is going to play Alia's sister. I was shocked. It was weird because my sister wanted to get into acting and she never told me about it."
Produced by Karan Johar and The Phantoms, ‘Shaandaar’ is set for a Dussehra release on October 22.
