Anurag Basu to make a 13 episode TV series on 'Jagga Jasoos'
Director will give the audience a glimpse of Jagga Jasoos’ formative years on TV before the film’s release next year
After presenting Rabindranath Tagore’s short stories on the small screen, Anurag Basu is now ready to bring forward another 13-episode series called Junior Jagga to television. The series will highlight the life of the younger Jagga of his film Jagga Jasoos. In the film, Ranbir Kapoor plays the lead opposite Katrina Kaif.
Says a source, “The show will have a child artiste playing Ranbir’s character and showing the formative years of Jagga. Anurag will start shooting the series next year.” The film’s release has been delayed on more than one occasion due to the shooting being incomplete. Some portions are going to be shot next year as well.
So, will Ranbir make a TV appearance? “Yes, most certainly. He will appear in the final episode of the TV series. It’s an interesting innovation to familiarise one’s movie content with the audience much in advance.” As of now, Ranbir is in London shooting for Karan Johar’s film.
