Yes Bank to invest Rs 125 crore on service centre
The centre will start operations with 1,200 people by March 2016
Chennai: Private lender Yes Bank is setting up its largest operations, management and delivery service centre in Chennai with a capacity to provide 12,000 jobs. The bank will invest Rs 120 to Rs 125 crore on the centre, which will be spent on the rented premises and technology.
The phase one of the facility is expected to be ready by the first quarter of fiscal year 2016-17. The centre will start operations with 1,200 people by March 2016. In the first phase ending March 2018 the centre will employ 7,500 people and by 2020, the centre will have total employee strength of 12,000 people. The company is also looking at raising $1 billion capital next year. “We see tremendous growth in the retail and SME segments, which currently accounts for 30 per cent of the business. It should grow to 45 per cent by 2020 and the centre will augment the growth in the segments,” said Rana Kapoor, MD and CEO Yes Bank.
