Bengaluru: Hoax caller Gokul harassed women on Whatsapp
Bengaluru: The CCB sleuths grilling Gokul Machery alias M.G. Gokul, who had murdered his wife and had sent hoax threat messages to Bengaluru and Delhi international airports, have reportedly found out that he was a pervert and sent vulgar text messages to women randomly.
Sources in the CCB revealed that Gokul had the tendency of saving random mobile phone numbers. “After saving the numbers, he used to see the profile pictures of the contacts WhatsApp messenger. If it turned to be of a woman, he used to send vulgar messages. It was found when his mobile phone data was analysed. He has done this to 4-5 women. However, no one has filed police complaint in this regard,” an official said.
Further the official revealed that he had created some 14 fake email and Facebook accounts to know more about the alleged illicit relationship his wife had.
“He used to create fake accounts in the name of close friends whom were trusted by his wife Anuradha.”
“By creating the account, he used to chat with his wife and made her to reveal something or the other about her illicit affair. His wife probably had no clue that she was revealing everything to her husband,” the official added.
False ISIS threats
In all the threat messages he sent, Gokul had reportedly mentioned the name of ISIS claiming that he was an ISIS operative.
“This was done just to make the case more serious, as he was very much aware that the police and security agencies would consider the messages sent in the name of ISIS very seriously.”
“He thought he will be successful in putting Siju Jose to trouble, if he used ISIS’s name,” the official said.
