Srinivasa Rao was caught red-handed on June 26

Hyderabad: Actor-producer Manchu Vishnu appeared before the CBI on Monday in connection with the trapping of former regional officer G. Srinivasa Rao of the Censor Board.
CBI officials said Vishnu was served notice under 160 CrPc and questioned regarding the contract of his production company with production manager C. Ananthashree. CBI sources said the actor was asked about certification and lab work of the films that his company ‘24 Frames Factory’ produced recently.
Srinivasa Rao was caught red-handed on June 26 while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a producer. Vishnu told this newspaper: “The CBI wanted some information regarding the payment to a person who coordinates between the Censor Board and film-makers.”
