Kerala directive to put up No Smoking boards
Restrictions have already been imposed on state government employees smoking, drinking
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of the efforts to prevent smoking in public places, the state government has directed all departments and institutions under it to display ‘No Smoking’ boards.
According to a circular from the personnel and administrative reforms department, all state government offices, public sector undertakings, educational institutions, cooperative organisations and autonomous bodies under the state government should put up the ‘No Smoking’ boards immediately in order to prevent public visiting the offices smoking in the premises.
Restrictions have already been imposed on state government employees smoking, drinking or using other tobacco products in offices.
