19 schools in the city have got top 10 rankings nationwide in the annual Education World India School Rankings 2015
Bengaluru: 19 schools in the city have got top 10 rankings nationwide in the annual Education World India School Rankings 2015. These are the results of a survey conducted by C-Fore, released on Monday. The survey ranks the country’s top 1,000 schools in 14 categories, including day, day-cum-boarding, boys and girls and legacy boarding and international schools.
Indus International school of the city has been voted no 1 in the (day-cum-boarding) International Schools category. According to the survey, in the Day Co-Education School Category Mallaya Aditi International School of the city has been voted no.3. The Valley School has been voted no.6.
Under the Day-Cum-Boarding Schools category, Greenwood High has been ranked no.5. Ebenezer International School has been voted No.10. According to the survey findings under the Co-Education Boarding School Category, Jain International Residential School of the city has bagged 4th rank at the all-India level. In the Boys’ boarding school category, Sarala Birla Academy snagged the no.5 slot at the all-India level.
According to the survey, under the International Schools’ top 10 rankings (International Day-cum-Boarding Schools category) Indus International School has been voted the number 1 school in the country, followed by The International School which has been voted no 4. Stonehill International School has been voted no. 7.
This year, separate tables of Top 10 government day and residential schools, special needs and budget private schools are included. Under government day schools, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mallesawaram has been voted no.8.
Under special schools’ top 15 rankings, Asha Kiran Special Needs School (no.3), Academy for Severe Handicaps and Autism (no.5), Bubbles Centre for Autism (no. 10) and Bethany Special School (no. 14) are in the league of the best schools in the country. Under the budget private schools, in the top 25 national rankings, were: Ashwini Public School (no.6), New Blossoms Education Society (no. 12), Nandini Public School (no. 18), Sun Rise Public School (no. 19) and Shri Shyla Vidya Samste (no. 21).
The survey sample size includes a total of 11,660 parents, teachers, principals and educationists in 27 cities countrywide. Interviews were carried out by 120 field researchers of C-Fore.
"The objective of the annual EW India School Rankings is to track and proclaim the country’s best schools as role models for the entire community of educators, and inspire top-ranked schools themselves to improve from good to great." said Dilip Thakore, founder-editor of Education World.
