ONGOLE: A 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her uncle at a lodge in Ongole on Sunday. The incident came to light on Monday.
Circle inspector Anthony Raj said the accused, P. Dattaiah, had been eyeing the girl for sometime. The girl is studying in Class IX and staying at the SC Girls’ Welfare Hostel in Kandukuru.
He went to her hostel on Sunday evening and said he would get her eye infection treated. He took her to a doctor in Ongole and then to a lodge near the RTC bus stand where he raped her and fled the spot. The girl informed the lodge staff who told the cops. A case was booked.
