Doctors who treated Mr Veeraiah said he was out of danger

Hyderabad: Mr P. Venugopal Rao of the LB Nagar police said they were trying to trace Swamy Naik, the LIC employee, who was treated after being pricked with a needle by an unidentified man, but he left the hospital before the cops could reach him.

In the Nalgonda incident, the farmer who was attacked by a trio, was injured under his right eye. K. Veeraiah was returning to his village Kapugallu on a motorcycle after completing some work at Kodada.

When he reached the outskirts of the village, he noticed an autorickshaw coming towards him from the opposite direction at high speed. He slowed his motorcycle and one of the persons from the vehicle hurled a needle at him, causing an injury under his right eye.

He immediately felt drowsy and he stopped his bike and informed his relatives. He was shifted to Government Hospital at Kodada and after first aid shifted to a nearby private hospital.

“We are trying to trace the autorickshaw and nab the offenders who attacked Mr Veeraiah,” said Kodada Rural SI G. Charamanda Raju.

Doctors who treated Mr Veeraiah said he was out of danger and poisonous material had been injected into his body.
