Prakash Raj plans to adopt a village in Telangana
The actor met Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao to undertake various programs for development
Hyderabad: Actor Prakash Raj today met Telangana IT Minister K T Rama Rao here and said he wanted to adopt Kondareddy Palle village in Mahabubnagar district of the state. Raj's decision comes days after popular Telugu actor Mahesh Babu decided to adopt a village in Telangana, following the path of his character in hit film 'Srimanthudu'.
A government release said the actor told the minister that he was impressed by the implementation of some of the government schemes such as Mission Kakatiya and Haritha Haram. Prakash, who recently launched Prakash Raj Foundation, plans to undertake various programmes for the development of the village. His foundation had already undertaken some developmental activities in Karnataka, the actor said.
Prakash Raj told the minister he plans to carry out agriculture in the village by using the latest technology. According to an official statement, he said he would work with the government to help farmers and provide basic amenities in the village. Rao assured him that the government would extend full support to his cause.
