Athiya's debut film 'Hero' will release on the same date as father Suniel's debut

Mumbai: It’s a case of ‘like father like daughter’, for Suneil Shetty and his daughter Athiya. Athiya will be making her debut in Nikhil Advani’s ‘Hero’, and interestingly the film will release on the same day as the actress’ father’s debut film ‘Balwan’.

Director Nikhil Avdani bought the rights to remake Subhash Ghai’s 1993 hit ‘Hero’ which starred Jackie Shroff and Meenakshi Sheshadri, and decided to use it as a launch vehicle for Athiya and Sooraj Pancholi with the help of Salman Khan.

After the incredible promotions, the film will finally get its release this week on September 11, which also happens to be the same day Suniel Shetty’s debut film ‘Balwan’ released in 1992.
