No needle attack spotted in CCTV
Hyderabad: A day after an alleged psycho attacked a Class IV student at Malkajgiri CCTV footages from an ATM centre revealed that the girl purchased the gift and went running into school.
Some other girls who were following her also said that they did not see any attack. The footage also had a parent who was returning after dropping his daughter at school. He also confirmed that there was no attack. Police is investigating details to solve the psycho mystery. Police suspect that the mark was a “small prick” that she may have suffered on way to school.
R. Ramya, a Class IV student of New Lilly Model High School complained to the school in-charge on Saturday that she was attacked by a stranger with a needle. She also claimed that the man was wearing a green shirt and black pants. But a few hours later when she explained the same thing to cops she gave different versions.
In the beginning, she claimed that she saw the man, but later she claimed that she could not see him as he had sped off on a red motorcycle. At one point of time, during the investigation, she even said that she did not remember if she was really attacked but noticed a speeding bike passing by her side. The police is still confused with her changing versions but are not leaving anything to chance.
“We analysed the CCTV footage at a nearby ATM center. It showed that the girl was running towards school and there was no attack or any bike passing her,” said Malkajgiri ACP A. Ravi Chandan Reddy.
Meanwhile, the police said that the mark could be a just “prick” and need not be an injection mark. “The prick can be due to a small projectile like a nail or a screw. It could have happened while she was coming to school,” said inspector Ankababu of Tanuku in the West Godavari district of AP.
