‘Party Brat’ tag, a hindrance for Premgi’s marriage prospects?
Premgi Amaren’s dream of becoming a hero is going to materialise
Looks like actor-music director Premgi Amaren’s dream of becoming a hero is going to materialise. His long pending project Maanga where he essays a dual role is hitting the cinema halls soon. Directed by PS Raja, it has Keerthi, and Leema as the romantic pairs of Premgi.
“I play both the characters Bhagavathar Gemini Ganesan from the 50s, and a present day scientist Shiva, who thinks he’s smart and intelligent, but actually he’s not and that’s why people call him ‘Maanga’, Premgi says. He adds, “I see to it that I don’t repeat my look in every film, of course keeping within the script’s demands. That way Kamal Haasan sir inspires me a lot.” More than acting, my aim is to become a good music composer, he tells us. Quiz him about whether he is happy or not about the tag ‘party brat’, and pat comes his reply. “I have no issues with the tag. Even now, after talking to you, I am going to party. The only problem is that it has become difficult for my parents to find a match for me. Still, my anna is seriously looking out for an alliance for me in his circles.”
