Raghu Achar, and MLA Vinitha Nero, from casting their votes in the BBMP mayoral election.
Mr. Shekar has appealed to the court to issue directions restraining the authorities from holding election to the posts of mayor and deputy mayor on September 11. “According to Article 243 (R), the Constitution does not enable persons other than directly elected councillors to vote in the election.”
