Telangana ministers are petitioning Chief Minister to remove statues of AP leaders

Hyderabad: Senior Telangana state ministers are petitioning Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to remove statues of Andhra Pradesh leaders and rename parks and institutions after local personalities.
Following the AP government deciding to drop Telangana-related material from AP textbooks, ministers T. Harish Rao, Jupally Krishna Rao, A. Indrakaran Reddy, G. Jagadish Reddy and P. Mahender Reddy have requested Mr Chandrasekhar Rao to take a decision regarding this.
Minister Harish Rao said, “Since AP does not want Telangana history to be part of its school syllabus now, the time has come for Telangana too to act on removing statues and names of AP leaders.”
