Does it sound unbelievable? At least that’s what Karthi said in an open talk with Kushboo at the last week episode of Simply Kushboo aired on Zee Tamizh channel every Saturday. “I am scared of my anna Suriya and the other thing is darkness,” the Parutthi Veeran star admitted during the show.
The actor shared his journey as an assistant director in Mani Ratnam’s camp. “I have received my share of scolding from Mani sir at times,” he quipped. Reacting to a query from Kushboo about how he felt when he became a father, he replied in a lighter vein, “I felt I was getting older.”
He revealed that people misunderstand him for not picking up phone calls after 9 pm. “Everyone thinks I am a changed man after my marriage. I avoid picking up calls after 9 pm because of my little daughter Umayal, who goes to sleep by then,” he laughs. Kushboo and Karthi even shook a leg for a song from one of the latter’s film live on the dais. Karthi then shared his childhood memories and his first trip abroad with father Sivakumar. The actor said that he cherished the moment when his dad did the first clap for his untitled, upcoming bilingual movie with Nagarjuna recently.
