Another massive hit
The Telugu Film Industry is going through a great phase as not only big films like Baahubali and Srimanthudu becoming super hits, even a small film like Cinema Choopista Mava has made money. The film is NRI N. Rajsekhar’s first venture into production. “I am happy that my first film became a hit. I never expected the film to do so well,” says Rajasekhar, who owns restaurant and IT business in USA.
Rajasekhar completed Cinema Choopista Mava with a budget of Rs 5 crore and the film has grossed nearly Rs 15 crore till date. He even sold the satellite rights for Rs 2.5 crore which is a tidy sum for a small film. “I am going to announce my upcoming projects on Dussehra,” adds Rajasekhar.
Initially, Rajasekhar had started a project with Avika Gor, but it didn’t work out. “At that time I got the story of Cinema Choopista Mava and we approached Raj Tharun. We then had Avika Gor’s dates. That’s how this film started. We completed the film in eight months,” he says.
