Actress Saranya Mohan entered a new phase in her life as she tied the knot with Thiruvananthapuram-based doctor Aravind Krishnan, on Sunday, in a rather humble ceremony unlike most Tinseltown’s ostentatious weddings.
For her big day, Saranya chose a sleepy village temple located about three kilometers interior of Alappuzha. The wedding was a low-key affair, devoid of the glitz and glamour and attended only by very near and dear.
A few well-known faces like KPAC Lalitha, director Sidhique and Sarayu were present to wish the couple. After the nuptials, the guests were treated to a sumptuous Kerala sadya.
Born to classical dancer-couple Mr Mohan and Kalamandalam Devi, Saranya, who is also a trained Bharatanatyam performer, has worked in Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu industries. Some of her best films include Yaaradi Nee Mohini, Eeram, Bheemili Kabbadi Jattu, Chemistry and Nadakame Ulakam. She has also worked in the Hindi film Badlapur Boys.
When quizzed about her future plans, the actress said she wasn’t sure of continuing in films but added that she would focus on running her dance school. Here’s wishing the lovely couple a very happy married life.
