TDP, YSRC leaders spar in assembly
Hyderabad: Pandemonium prevailed in the AP Assembly on Thursday after labour minister K. Atchannaidu described the YSRC as a “psycho party” and asked its MLAs to change the name of the party accordingly.
The remark drew sharp criticism from the YSRC, with its chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy retorting by terming the Chief Minister “rowdy CM” and the TD legislators as “rowdy MLAs”.
Soon after the House assembled, Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao announced that the adjournment motion introduced by the YSRC on rising prices of essential commodities had been rejected. This led to the YSRC MLAs rushing to the podium and stalling proceedings. On this, Mr Atchannaidu said that the YSRC was a “psycho party”.
Objecting to this, YSRC MLAs demanded an immediate apology.
