After the last session by YFLO where speakers Sharmila Tagore and her daughter Soha Ali Khan were mobbed by eager members, things were quite different this time round, when Vidya Balan came to town on Thursday.
For starters, there were two imposing bouncers next to the stage and there was an official announcement made to not click selfies!
Handloom exponents from the city Uzramma and Suraiya Hasan were felicitated at the session for their efforts. But Vidya goofed up when she called Suraiya “Sunaina”.
When asked by an audience member on how does a short person make a sari work, Vidya Balan quickly got up and showed the crowd her three inch heels. “That’s all you need,” she said, as the room erupted with laughter. Vidya continued, “I am 5’3” and never used to wear heels till I met my husband. Because next to him I feel like I am underground, without heels.”
