Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-starrer Shaandaar will release in the same week as Sasha’s 2007 blockbuster Jab We Met starring Kareena Kapoor. Imtiaz’s Jab We Met released on October 26, 2007, while Vikas Bahl’s Shaandaar is looking at an October 22 release.
Fans who noticed the dates have been asking the actor on social media if it was a well-planned strategy or some kind of a fallacy. Shahid, however, maintained that it was only a happy coincidence.
He said, “I did not realise it until someone from the team pointed it out. It is a happy co-incidence that Shaandaar is releasing in the same week as Jab We Met.”
