Shane Warne urges Nick Kyrgios not to 'waste talent' in open letter
Sydney: Australian cricket great Shane Warne has asked controversial tennis player Nick Kyrgios not to "waste his talent" in an open letter following his early-exit from US Open against Andy Murray.

"Remember respect is way more important than being liked, u need to respect the game of tennis and yourself. We all make mistakes, but it's how we learn from them and the way we conduct ourselves when we lose that shows true character," Warne posted on Facebook.
"You're testing our patience mate," he added
Warne further asked the 20-year-old to "show us what you're made of and how hungry you are to be the best in the world, it's time to step up and start winning, no excuses," Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Earlier, Andy Murray claimed 7-5, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 win over Kyrgios in the first-round match of US Open at Flushing Meadows in New York.
Kyrgios was also handed a suspended ban and a fine by the ATP Tour for making an "insulting remark" against Stanislas Wawrinka in a recent Rogers Cup clash in Montreal.
