South African woman leaves Osmania Hospital, remanded

She attempted to smuggle cocaine by swallowing it
Hyderabad: South African woman Mosiea Moosa, who attempted to smuggle cocaine by swallowing it, was discharged from hospital on Wednesday. NCB officials produced her before court. The court ordered 14-day remand and shifted her to Chanchalguda jail.
Doctors at the Osmania Hospital recovered 52 drug capsules from her body by Tuesday. Doctors said the drugs were retrieved naturally. NCB SP Dinesh Chauhan said that doctors extracted all the capsules from her body. “Nearly 51 capsules weighing around 7,993 grams worth '1 crore were recovered from her body. She is normal now. We produced her before court,” Mr Dinesh said.
The 32-year-old Mosiea Moosa, a citizen of South Africa, landed at RGIA on Sunday, pretending to be pregnant. Customs officials who found her moving around suspiciously apprehended her. On questioning, she admitted to smuggling drugs.
