English actor Idris Elba, who was in the news recently for being called “too street” to play James Bond, hit back at his critic — current James Bond author Anthony Horowitz — on Instagram.
Posting a photo of an article mentioning the author, Idris captioned the post, “Always keep smiling! It takes no energy and never hurts! Learned that from the street!”
Anthony had earlier apologised after creating a storm with his comments, and explained, “Clumsily, I chose the word ‘street’ as Elba's gritty portrayal of DCI John Luther was in my mind, but I admit it was a poor choice of word. I am mortified to have caused offence.”
