Google logos: Then and now
In September 1998, Google moved to Google.com and shared its beta release with the world
In May 1999, Google reworked its logo to give it a more sophisticated yet playful look, based on the Catull typeface.
In May 2010, the logo was brightened up, and the drop shadow effect in the font was reduced considerably
Then the logo was against changed to this one in September 2013, where the logo was tweaked with some typographical changes
And now after two years, on September 1 2015, Google has again redesigned its logo. The revamped logo spells ‘Google’ in a sans-serif typeface
The compact version of the logo, used to identify most of its apps, bids farewell to the little blue "g" icon and replaces it with a uppercase "G" colored in blue, red, yellow and green to match the full logo
