Telangana government to put curbs on encroachers
TRS government would crackdown on encroachers and retake government lands
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Mohd. Mahmood Ali alleged that huge tracts of government lands in Telangana were encroached upon during the rule of the governments of undivided Andhra Pradesh at their behest.
He also said that he has received information about rampant corruption at lower level at some places and promised to take serious action. Mr Mahmood Ali, who made a surprise visit to Serilingampally tahsildar office in Ranga Reddy district on Tuesday, said the TRS government would crackdown on encroachers and retake government lands.
Mr Mahmood Ali, was accompanied by Ranga Reddy district revenue officer Dharma Reddy, RDO Rajendranagar Suresh and PS to Dy CM KE John Wesley. The Deputy CM inspected revenue records and enquired about the extent of government land available under the particular tahsildar and also the extent of land under unauthorised encroachments.
