Hyderabad: Though the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) has not issued any Category B admission notification, private engineering colleges say that their 30 per cent management quota seats are being filled.
On the other hand, APSCHE has released the notification and schedule for filling up of Category B seats. Two lists of students selected for admissions into management quota were to be finalised by August 12 and Supreme Court rules mandated that no admissions would be permitted after August 15 and any vacancies after counselling should be notified and advertised and then filled.
However, in TS private engineering colleges have long filled the Category B seats and the remaining are being advertised. But this is being done without any notification from the TSCHE.
Category B notifications are usually issued after the end of Eamcet counselling but that would mean there is little time. TSCHE officials said there may or may not be a notification issued at all.
