FIR against TRS MLA Harishwar Reddy over fake documents

Police registered an FIR under nine different sections of the IPC
Hyderabad: The Parigi Court on Tuesday directed the police to register an FIR against senior TRS leader Mr K. Harishwar Reddy for producing fake documents in his complaint to the Election Commission against Parigi Congress MLA Mr K. Rammohan Reddy.
Police registered an FIR under nine different sections of the IPC. Earlier Mr Harishwar Reddy had filed a complaint with the Election Commission, alleging that the election expenses of Mr Rammohan Reddy had crossed the prescribed limit and had demanded his disqualification.
After an inquiry, a report was submitted to the Election Commission, stating that the allegations were false. Based on the report, MLA Mr T. Rammohan Reddy filed a petition in court seeking action against Mr Harishwar Reddy.
The Parigi First Class Judicial magistrate directed the police to file an FIR for further investigation. “It is a court referral case. We have filed an FIR against Harishwar Reddy under nine different sections. Based on the investigation, further action will be taken,” said Parigi SI Nagesh.
Mr Harishwar Reddy, however, denied the claims that the details his complaint were false and expressed confidence that he would come out clean after the investigation. “We produced the documents that we got from the EC through RTI. How can we forge them and cheat the Commission? Their allegations are false and they are playing such tricks to defend themselves,” he said.
Toll plaza accuses MLA of vandalism:
Progressive Construction Limited, which operates the Toll Plaza at Patancheru, has alleged that the local TRS MLA G. Maipal Reddy is obstructing the plaza operations and threatening workers of burning vehicles since the commencement of the plaza operations.
Mr Chandra Sekhar Iyer from PCL said, “PCL has built a road of 36 km between Pattancheru to Sangareddy, National Highway — Medak district on ‘Build Operate and Transfer’ basis in the year 2012 and was authorised to collect toll on that road. Since the initiation of the toll plaza, interference by the local MLA is frequent.” Despite attempts to contact Mr. G. Maipal Reddy, he was unavailable to comment.
