Women to get priority in police: Nayani Narasimha Reddy
DGP Anurag Sharma said the Telangana police has developed its infrastructure with global standards
Nizamabad: Home minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy on Monday said that the government will earmark 33 per cent of jobs in the police department for women.
“A greater number of women in the police force could prevent atrocities perpetrated against women,”said the minister, after inaugurating new police station buildings at Bheemgal and Sadashivanagar mandal headquarters in the district on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that people have been living in peace and communal harmony after the formation of Telangana.
DGP Anurag Sharma said the Telangana police has developed its infrastructure with global standards. He said a command room will be set up in Hyderabad to monitor the movement of police vehicles across the state.
