Rahul received six messages from ‘Sheena’
Mumbai: Rahul Mukerjea, Ex Star India CEO Peter Mukerjea's son, apparently received six messages from 'Sheena' which conveyed that she had found someone new and that she wanted nothing to do with him anymore.
According to reports, Rahul told police during questioning that Sheena had gone missing in 2012 and that he tried reaching her several times but in vain. He was responded only with text messages which claimed that she was leaving to US and that she had found someone and also that she wanted to part with him.
The messages were sent by Indrani using Sheena's phone after she was killed, said reports, adding that she faked Sheena's voice when she received calls from her company. She sought resignation from her post in the company as she was going abroad, Mumbai Metro One, and on being asked to send in her resignation letter, she faked Sheena's signature.
Meanwhile, the police have found that there were 21 emails exchanged between Indrani Mukerjea and her employee who allegedly forged Sheena's signature for Indrani's. The employee sent a sample of Sheena's forged signature and Indrani, wanted it to be perfected, leading to the exchange of mails. A similar letter was signed by the same staffer to get the leave and license agreement of the rented flat in Andheri, where Sheena and her boyfriend Rahul lived, cancelled.
The employee is being roped in as a witness, police said.
