‘Prof. Bhagwan had reportedly received threats after his speech on Bhagvad Gita’

Mysuru: Prof. K.S. Bhagwan, who was threatened by a Bajrang Dal activist on Twitter on Sunday evening that he would be the next target after Dr M.M. Kalburgi, has been given a gunman by the Mysuru police, said DCP N.D. Birje on Monday.
“Prof. Bhagwan had reportedly received threats after his speech on Bhagvad Gita. We have provided security at his house in Kuvempunagar,” Mr Birje told the Deccan Chronicle.
On Dr Kalburgi’s murder, Prof. Bhagwan said, “It is an unfortunate and dangerous development. Dr Kalburgi was my very good friend. He liked my writings and encouraged me. He was a great soul and a great scholar and thinker. He worked for the downtrodden.”
