THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In a shuffle in the police department, Mr M.P. Dinesh has been posted as Kochi City Police Commissioner and Mr S. Satheesh Bino as Kottayam district police chief.
Mr N. Vijayakumar is the new Palakkad district police chief and Mr K. Karthick Thrissur rural district police chief. Wayanad district police chief Ajeetha Beegum was shifted as Police Training College principal.
Mr M.K. Pushkaran was posted as the new Wayand district police chief. Mr. Dinesh, who was Kottayam district police chief, replaces Kochi City Police Commissioner K.G. James who retired on Monday.
Though DIG-rank officers are usually posted as Kochi city police commissioners, Mr.Dinesh, who is in SP rank, was posted by lowering the rank of the commissioner post.
Mr H. Manjunath, who was serving as Palakkad district police chief, was posted as AIG (headquarters) in place of Mr Satheesh Bino.
